FORSYTH COUNTY -- Forsyth County is giving the community a chance to keep up their healthy New Year’s resolutions.
Starting Jan. 9, the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department will host Get Fit Forsyth, a month-long fitness challenge. The program will run until Feb. 10, and prizes will be awarded to the male and female with the highest participation.
The program includes a one-month FitPlus pass to the county’s three recreation centers, weekly challenges and weekly encouragement with educational facts.
Each participant in the challenge will also receive a Get Fit Forsyth T-shirt.
The challenge will include weigh-ins and weigh-outs. Last year, the 100 participants lost a total of 264 pounds together.
